Makeup Bag Rotation #2

What's on the makeup menu for today? A serving of Chanel, princess makeup, and concealing magic...

Entree:

Easing into springtime cosmetics, I like to dabble in pastels, pinks, and rosy hues to fit in with springtime requirements. I find the easiest way to do this is through nails- super easy to change up to reflect the seasons. I particularly like Natio's polish in Rosy Glow (complete with a spring appropriate name). This one looks gorgeous on short square cut nails for a chic look and the formula lasts longer than the average paint job, roughly five days chip free.

Main:

A smooth base of Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation in B10 with a touch of Bobbi Brown's cult classic Corrector perfects skin, leaving you with flawless springtime skin- flawless and radiant. The Chanel offering is a light foundation which is perfect for spring as it is dewy without leaving the skin an unattractive greasy mess which rivals Severus Snape's oil slick hair. The finish is light and it doesn't feel heavy on the skin like some foundations can yet it still hides most of my redness and puts up a good fight against my warring acne scars. Coupled with the Bobbi Brown Corrector (I have the shade Porcelain Bisque- a touch to pale for me right now), my face looks fresh-faced and glowy. Damn, this pot of magic really works to hide unsightly bags after long internet-trawling sessions or late nights. The salmon undertones correct the blue and purple bags and act as a perfecting base to be followed by your regular concealer, Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer I'm looking at you.

Dessert:

Ah dessert, the time to splash out with different textures, finishes, and colours. At the moment I have been really craving MAC's Paint Pot in Bare Study- my first ever MAC purchase and the product that started my insatiable need for cosmetics (can you believe it's still going strong??). This is a gorgeous shimmery champagne cream shadow which looks just as stunning on its own or as a base for deeper eyeshadows. It keeps my shadows from creasing and lasts all day until I take off my makeup at night. Topped off by another Chanel gem, the Rouge Coco Shine lipstick in 70 Sourire indisputably makes into my top five lip products. This little number is an exquisitely smooth sheer lipstick- a my lips but a bit peachier. This lipstick has quite a glossy finish so is quite hydrating and smells lovely too. A girl can never have enough Chanel in her life...
